cherub420 With a masterful intro that lingers throughout like a siren hook, this track serves a beefy bass kick that's given brief moments of liminal space so it doesn't suffocate. 4min is long enough to keep the energy hot & short enough to avoid any filler/redundancy, ending in sparse fashion to be easily mixed with. Both DJs and producers should be studying TYGAPAW rn.

Acclaimed producer, DJ and community leader TYGAPAW is one of the contemporary guiding lights of the New York club scene. Creating multiple spaces for the city’s LGBTQ+ community to thrive within nightlife culture, their 2020 debut album GET FREE acted as a rallying cry to dismantle patriarchy, racism and queerphobia set to some of the most full bodied, soul-rendering electronic music of recent memory. After announcing their signing to fabric Originals last month with the hypnotic club sounds of ‘MYSM’, today they follow up the single with an even more relentless anthem; ‘PRESSURE’.

Opening with a haunting siren and distant calls of “can you feel the pressure?”, ‘PRESSURE’ is a rallying cry to express yourself without constraint. A high-tempo cut of blistering techno, ‘PRESSURE’ builds off of ‘MYSM’’s powerful dancefloor energy with an even more stark sound. Looping TYGAPAW’s heavy treated vocal calls with an infectious underlying synth line that’s anchored by one of the most devastating kicks of their career so far, ‘PRESSURE’ takes no prisoners; challenging the listener to move with a short, sharp shock to the system that raises the energy within the club, without sacrificing the spiritual elements of TYGAPAW’s now signature full bodied groove.

Already exhibited in full flow with previous single ‘MYSM’, ‘PRESSURE’ raises the levels on TYGAPAW’s new sound as they continue to draw the listener to a brand new era. An electronic artist that means so much to so many people, they have taken their time to craft their vital, unique sound into something even more urgent; creating an escape from the overbearing nature of the outside world - a space where the listener can be whoever they want to be.
